Fundraising for WellChild
Story
After watching from the barriers last
year and seeing at first hand the determination and drive in the
runners faces to do something that really makes a difference to those
that need it most. I decided I would take up the challenge in 2010.
After starting my training a good few months back I appreciate more
than ever how great a challenge it really is even though I regard
myself as a fit and health person. Also the hard times training
through the snow and the freezing cold to probably moaning about how
hot it is in a few months time.
On the 25th of April I will be joining the many thousands taking part in the 2010 London Marathon. I will be seeing if my body can take the 26+ miles in aid of a vital charity 'Well Child'. I am very proud to be running for such a great cause and I am really looking forward to making hopefully a big difference and allow these kids the best and happy up bringing they deserve!
Well Child is the national charity for sick children. They help sick children and their families throughout the UK as they deal with the consequences of serious illness and complex conditions. There mission is to reach as many children and young people as they can, year after year.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

They focus on three key areas - care, support and research - and there involvement in so many aspects of children's health puts them in a unique position.
The team of WellChild Children's Nurses work with families across the UK. These specialist nurses help to ensure that children with complex care needs can leave hospital and return home, and they are vital in the prevention of re-admissions.
I am asking for your much needed support for what I am sure you will agree is a great cause.
