Story
Now then...
This year I've done a marathon, and a swim challenge. So the next thing to try is a bike challenge. Obviously ;-)
Luckily I love cycling - and it's a heck of a lot quicker than running, though I've never done 50 miles in one go before!
The downside is that I'll be wearing lycra shorts with a padded behind - but it's a small sacrifice to make to be part of this great new event. It will be raising much needed cash to be donated to Yorkshire Cancer Research, for research into the cause and cure of cancer at the Universities at Bradford, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield, York and their associated teaching hospitals.
How many of us have been connected with cancer in some way in our lives - either through personal experience, or a family member or friend? Too many! So, please help me with this - whatever you can - it all counts!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
UPDATE: Completed ride in 3hrs 55 mins (with stops, 3:30 cycling time). Quite windy on exposed parts, but I got round!
