Story

Thanks very much to everyone who sponsored me for the London Marathon on 25th April 2010!

I managed to get round eventually, although found it extremely tough going from about 18 miles onwards. I did not like the idea of explaining to all my generous supporters that I had not made it round and so battled on! It was an amazing experience and the costume generated a lot of shouts from the crowds which kept me going too!

I completed it in a time of 4hrs49mins46secs - this unfortunately meant no podium finish and I was narrowly beaten by comedian Lee Evans, but did manage to be faster than both Natalie Imbruglia and Michelle Heaton!

As you know, I was running for Tommy's, the baby charity, which funds medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage, including a research centre at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh.  This is an excellent cause and the whole Clark family really is extremely grateful for everyone's support.

Thanks again

Walter
