Participants: Wandsworth Community Against Trafficking

Story

WELCOME!

Sturdy individuals are undertaking a 60 mile cycle ride from London to Brighton to raise money for Wandsworth Community Against Trafficking (WanCAT)!

We are a community based group working hard to tackle human trafficking in Wandsworth and expose the brutal fact that people are being bought and sold in our community for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

By sponsoring a WanCAT cyclist you will be:

helping us to raise awareness and tackle this urgent issue within Wandsworth

enabling us to ensure that tackling human trafficking is a priority for Wandsworth borough police

assisting in the recovery of people who have been retrieved from traffickers.

These human beings are being incarcerated, abused and exploited for no other reason than the financial gain of the criminals who 'own' them.

We say that's wrong. We say END SLAVERY NOW.

While you're at it, please sign our petition demanding that The South London Press newspaper stop advertising brothels in their back pages-disguised as 'massage parlours' many of which have been proved to have held trafficked women. You can sign here: http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/stop-south-london-press-advertising-brothels.html
