We took part in the BUPA Great Capital Run on Sunday July 15th 2007 to raise money for Ncuda Ltd. The funds raised would assist Ncuda Ltd in executing a number projects. One of these is to provide pipe-borne water to a group of villages in Cameroon .

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to you and all our donors for supporting this initiative. Ncuda Ltd has many challenging projects ahead where it is expected that the benefits achievable for the beneficiary communities would be substantial. You would be happy to know that the water project has now started in earnest and we are confident that it will be successfully completed, thanks to the generosity of our donors.

From the picture you will see a woman carrying water from what appears to be a spring coming out of a rock. The source is however a few meters away. The water runs on the surface exposed and untreated. This is the best point for her to collect the water she and her family needs. This woman has had to travel for over a mile to get to this point; it is the only reliable source of water for her and her family and many other families in the surrounding villages.

People in the local community have carried water from here for decades. No one really knows the impact this untreated water is having on the health of the local community.

The water project is designed to change this. With your help and financial support through Ncuda Ltd, together we will bring pipe-borne water to the surrounding villages and make a real difference to the lives of many in the local community and beyond.
