Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've set up this page to collect Donations from Family, Friends and People that knew my good friend, Warren 'Waz' Berry... and potentially, from people that didn't know him at all, but would like to donate to the Charity.

Waz passed away peacefully on 27th November 2009 (He was 44 years old), after suffering a massive cardiac arrest on 18th November. He never regained consciousness after that day, but when the time came his wife, Monica, allowed some of Warren's organs to be used for transplants, which meant that Waz ultimately saved three other peoples lives.

Waz was a fit & healthy man, who regularly took part in physical activity and exercise, but what he didn't know, was that he was suffering from heart disease. The Charity 'Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)' aim to increase the screening of young people to allow the proper treatment, that would prevent these unnecessary deaths in those so young, and yes 44 is young!

Please find the time to donate to the fund, and pass this round your friends and family. I only wish someone has sent this to me in time for Waz and people like me to be screened for heart defects. Who knows next time it could be one of you!!! 

What happened to Waz, could have been prevented if proper screening was available, but although we do have the Best Health Service in the World, certain things do get missed and this one of them.
