Story
Firstly a HUGE thank you to everyone for their support, encouragement and most all your sponsorship. I cannot tell you how much it is appreciated. Between the whole team we will have raised over £4,000. I will post the definitive amount once we have finalised collections.
On the morning of the jump the weather was a little bit iffy but eventually it gave way to some sunshine in time for the skydive. I cannot tell you how exhilarating the whole experience was. I actually think the waiting around was more nerve racking than the flight up in that rather small noisy plane!
The rush of adrenaline as you are launched from the doorway into sky is ...well...indescribable. I never liked roller coasters at the best of times but this is something else...You free fall for 45 seconds travelling at 120 mph (head first I now realise), before the chute is opened (thank goodness). It is truly something to be experienced. The rest of the journey down is just as fabulous. The birds eye view of the landscape below, a few tummy turning moments when you turn in the wind supported by only a couple of straps and a big kite!!!! After all that, the landing was a doddle. We literally flew in at a fair speed, slowed at the last moment then a little running step onto terra firma. All completed in 3 and half minutes....wonderful! All for such a great charity.
Once again, thank you all for your support.
Wendy x p.s. See additional pictures including the lovely Bailey and the handsome jump team!
* GOOD NEWS - Anne has now been assigned her own dog - Welcome to Bailey a beautiful black labrador. Anne and Bailey start their training programme in the next couple of weeks and I hoping to have some piccies of the handsome couple very soon.

I am joining a group of friends to raise funds for the charity Dogs for the Disabled which is one of the charities who support sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis. This is particular interest to me and those of you who may know Anne Hewitt as she hopes to eventually be able to have one of these amazing dogs and I would love to be able to assist in her achieving this aim. Every assistance dog trained by the charity makes a life-changing difference to each and every one of the disabled people that the charity helps. Assistance Dogs offer practical help to everyday tasks that so many of us take for granted, specialist tasks include opening doors, retrieving out-of-reach objects, removing items of clothing. Ultimately, the dogs give their owner independence and confidence along with constant companionship and a means of social contact.I will be jumping on MAY 16th at Hinton airfield near Brackley in Northamptonshire and I am hoping to raise as much as possible for the charity. I am not sure that I have a very good head for heights so may need some very good underwear!!!
So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you so much.
