Story

Hello everyone! This is flash isn't it!?! As you my know I have completed a couple of marathons to date in or around the 4 hour mark and will be looking to improve this year since I have lost over a stone of flabby bits!

I am desperately looking for sponsorship for the November 2003 New York Marathon and I need you to be as generous as possible please! The charity Get Kids Going is chaired by Seb Coe - who became a great mate of mine during the Nike 10k Run last year (well I said hello) so please help me to help him to help them.

This is really the most efficient way for me to raise funds for this worthy charity. And....if you are a UK taxpayer your donation will be increased by almost a third at no cost to you.

Many many many thanks.

UPDATE - Its now 17 April - I completed the London Marathon and am nursing my achy feet and legs. But the really good news for me is that I beat my personal best by over 40mins with a time of 3hrs 27mins 23seconds! Thank you so much for all the help and good wishes - keep 'em coming!

UPDATE - 24 August 2003 - As some of you are well aware I have suffered since the London marathon with two stress fractures in my left leg - I tried a small 9.5mile run last week and the twinges seem to have gone which gives me very little time to prepare for New York...I recognise i'm not going to get a new personal best but in view of all my support i'm still going to go for it and hope to get around in or around the 4 hour mark - assuming my fractures don't re-open! Please keep supporting me!
