Story
To raise money for the DEC Haiti Disaster Appeal I endured the Sub Zero challenges of an Andorran mountain black run with my questionable snowboard abilities ... wearing a mankini ... and hope you have now enjoyed the promised video evidence!!
... and yes ... it was cold!!
You can enjoy the video on youtube by searching 'Haiti Mankini' or using this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjf-mkzCGZQ
Please share this with all your friends and family so that they can also enjoy the video and we can raise more for those affected by the recent disaster in Haiti.
Please continue to encourage my audacity by generously sponsoring this worthy cause and sharing the video with your friends and families - rest assured that this did test my pain and humiliation thresholds, my ability to stay standing and your sick sense of humour!!
Here's why I did it:
As shocking as the news coverage of the earthquake has been; it can not even begin to portray the magnitude of the tragedy that has happened -- and the degree to which the Haitian people are suffering. In the knowledge that the first £500 raised would be matched by a corporate fundraising scheme and some idea as to the difference that even a small amount could make, I decided I wanted to take action... but what!?
A good friend told me that for people to really donate it needs to be something either horrible or humiliating... This was both excruciatingly cold and humiliating on my part - contrarily (I hope) incredibly entertaining on your part > and we all played a role in supporting the recovery from this disaster.
Thank YOU
