I am raising money for crohn's and colitis uk, as I have benefitted greatly from all of the support that they have given me and I hope that they will one day find a cure to this illness.
I was misdiagnosed about 10 years ago. Following many years of extreme pain, absorption and other problems, I was finally diagnosed with Crohn's on the 22nd October 2012. Crohn's has greatly affected my ability to live a normal life and do many things. Crohn's and Colitis UK have been there on the phone for support, emailed me advice when needed and helped me overcome some of my fears associated to this illness.
Unfortunately there is no cure for Crohn's disease (or Colitis), but I hope that my fundraising will help go a little way towards the eventual find of a cure.
Instead of giving me presents that I may not want, why not donate to this charity instead?
If you just want to support me, or support this charity for any other reason. Then please, Donate.
A fast majority of this money has been made via items which I've created; where 100% of takings goes to the charity.
Even if I can't raise much money, I can do a lot to raise awareness. Awareness of this illness is one thing which there needs to be more of as IBD is often mistaken for IBS and is generally a misunderstood condition. Also, because it is embarrassing, it is rarely talked about to others. So please, please, please, help me to raise awareness and together we will HELP FIND A CURE.
Thank you.
