Well this is very exciting!!

For years, Wood Street Mission were there for my family. 

Being the eldest of 7 Children in a single parent household was very tough. Without much of a wider family, we struggled for support from others but Wood Street were always there. I will never forget that.

Every few months my mum, sister, and I would visit the charity to collect clothes, toys, and other essentials. The selfless volunteers were so kind and helpful. They were always there for any needs we had. Honestly, at times I do not know how we would have coped without them. 

Wood Street Mission have been there for families in Manchester just like mine for over 150 years. The image of being in a large queue for toys every Christmas has always stuck with me. Last year, when visiting the charity in Winter, I was saddened to see a new generation of families needing their wonderful support. Many families in Manchester need Wood Street more than ever.

This is why I am running the Manchester Marathon for Wood Street. I know it won't be easy but I understand the huge impact every donations makes to the charity. I have an opportunity to finally give something back to such an incredible cause and I would be so grateful for any donations you could give to support this charity that is so important for me and my family.
