Lennox Children's Cancer Fund makes a positive difference to the lives of children fighting cancer. This is achieved through key projects, such as Respite Breaks and Care Grants, which support the whole family practically, financially and emotionally at a time when it is needed most.

Story

Bonjour!

This year, my fund raising charity challenge will be for the benefit of children suffering from cancer and leukaemia, through The Lennox Charity.

Helping these children will be my inspiration to cycle 500km in the Alpes for 5 days with 22 colleagues from work. We set off from Lyon on Wednesday 9th Sept 09 and aim to reach Geneva on Sunday 13th Sept 09. On the way we will climb 2 cols minimum per day including the infamous Alpes d'Huez, Croix de fer, ... you know the ones we see on TV with Le Tour de France.

It will be very tough, my knees will burn, my ankles will hurt, my legs will be heavy, my mind will say 'why don't you stop now silly Frenchman?' ... But I will complete it!  I will do it with a HUGE SMILE on my face if you help me RAISE a bit of MONEY for the Lennox Charity.

I hope my efforts inspire you to donate a small amount, maybe skip a night out, cinema, pub drinks, cigs,.. this month.

Oh and... I will also send the pictures/clips link of the events to all contributors :-). You can also follow our daily Blog post : http://alpes-charity-bike-ride.blogspot.com/

Thank you all and see you soon,
Yannick
