Rethink Rebuild Society, in partnership with Syria Relief, runs school projects in the areas of Syria most affected by violent conflict. In these areas, children have not been able to go to school for many years because of the war and are missing out on their basic education. One school, Iqraa School at Al-Sahara village in northern Syria, was established and since has been generously funded by the Manchester community in September 2014. The school has accommodated 379 pupils, aged 6 to 15, and 21 members of staff. All types of support are provided for these children, incuding education, psychological help and medical support. The school is now approaching the third academic year, which has only been made possible by the generosity and kindness of brothers, sisters and friends across Manchester. They are now asking again for your help to raise £40,000, which is the running cost of the school for the next academic year.
