We provide mental health treatment to veterans from every service and conflict

Story

On Saturday 16th July, I am going to jump off the Imperial War Museum North, where dressed as a giant poppy will then zip slide 250m across the Manchester Ship Canal and will land in front of The Lowry Centre, Salford.

The zip slide challenge is being carried out to raise money for Combat Stress: the Veterans Mental Health Society, who for over 90 years have been providing essential and lifelong support to all British Ex-Service men and women.

As a charity, Combat Stress delivers dedicated treatment and support to Ex-Service men and women, who are living with conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).Since 2005 Combat Stress have seen a 72% increase in demand for their specialist services in caring for a Veteran's mental health.

I would like to urge you to donate to Combat Stress, as its the only charity within Great Britain, which provides a free and comprehensive service, that not only supports the well being of Britain's Ex-Forces but supports their families too!

 Yours faithfully,

Hussein Al-alak
