Zumba Fitness for Charity
Fundraising for North London Hospice
Story
For those of you that haven't already heard that the latest craze and more importantly the MOST FUN new way to exercise is ZUMBA!! Seriously addictive, Zumba is a dance fitness class, choroegraphed to hot Latin and international music.
With easy to follow steps, classes are structured to tone and burn up to 800 calories in one hour! (worth it just for that!!)
Come and join us for a disco ZUMBATHON- a 2 hour class!! if you've been ...to a Zumba class before you already know 1 hour is never enough and you just want more, more, more!! And if you've never done it before its a class for all levels and even more of a reason for you to give it a go now!
The charity we are raising money for is The North London Hospice which is a charity very close to all of our hearts. North London Hospice (NLH) considers any patient living in the boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey with a potentially life limiting illness and who has specialist palliative care needs.
NLH is a registered charity and all our services are provided free of charge. The cost of caring for 3 out of 4 people comes from voluntary donations each year which emphasises just how important charity events like this are to the hospice.
NLH support extends to family; friends and carers to ensure they have the help they need to cope with any problems arising from the illness and to rebuild their lives afterwards. NLH provide a whole range of services including specialist care and advice on relief of symptoms such as pain, breathing difficulties or mobility problems in order to improve quality of life. Fredy Montero - the director of Latin Soul Academy who already runs seven Zumba classes every week has very kindly offered to take the class. Be prepared to dance, be prepared to sweat and above all be prepared to have fun and raise some money for charity!
