SPONSOR ME TO COMPETE IN THE BRITISH ULTRA 2009
As you may already be aware in May 2009 I will be competing in the British Ultra 2009 in aid of Sheffield Childrens Hospital Charity and in memory of Daniel Grice.
Daniel was an inspirational young man who after a long battle against cancer sadly lost his fight in August 2008. Throughout the entirity of his illness Daniel was cared for by Sheffield Childrens Hospital, who not only provided Daniel with world class medical care but were also fantastic in their support of Daniel's family through some very difficult times.
During this time Daniel was intrusmental in organising and in taking part in a huge number of fund raising events. He never let his illness prevent him from showing his gratitude and support to the hospital and became inspiration to many people there.
So continuing Daniel's fantastic efforts I will be taking part in the 2009 British Ultra, details of which can be found at www.britishultra.com . In brief the British Ultra is 150 mile race taking place over 6 days, across the Scottish Islands of Jura and Islay.
Those of you who know me will be aware that I am not built for running and usually try to limit any running that I do, to the pub and back.
With this in mind I would ask that you show your support to both me and Daniel's memory by making a donation to Sheffield Childrens Hospital.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
