After an 18 month blockade of Gaza and three weeks of heavy shelling the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is now completely overwhelming. Thousands of people are struggling to survive with many having lost their homes and most down to their last supplies of food and only limited amounts of fresh drinking water.
60% of the population are living in poverty- that means that 1.1 million people are dependent on the aid that we give them,  to survive.

Aberdeen University Stop the War Society (STW) addresses issues of conflict and war. STW aims to raise awareness of such issues within the university with the objective of promoting peace.

STW meets every Tuesday in New Kings 14 at 6pm.
