We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

My name is Abigail and I am now seven (just!). I am a type 1 diabetic and was diagnosed at twenty months old. I have started doing my own blood sugar tests but still need Mummy’s help with the three insulin injections I require every day.

I have a very very silly daddy and to stop him being so annoying I have set him challenges to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. As he has been very irritating recently this years challenge is to complete Badwater. Information on previous challenges is available at our website http://www.abigailschallenges.org.uk/.

Badwater is one of the world's premier endurance events with only 90 entrants a year (you have to be invited to take part) and takes place in July in Death Valley. It is a non-stop race covering 135 miles in a maximum of 60 hours in day time temperatures of 55c. If that doesn’t finish him off there’s also the little matter of it being mostly uphill!!

Please sponsor my Daddy now and help us find a cure for Diabetes. Many thanks for your support.
