Story
On Saturday 20th June, two teams from the Edinburgh Office completed the Rob Roy Challenge. The Challenge took place through the rugged and spectacular Rob Roy Way, from Drymen on Loch Lomond to Kenmore on Loch Tay. Both teams completed the 55 mile course - walking 16 miles and cycling 39 miles.
The weather was perfect, a combination of bright sunshine and light drizzle earlier in the day. The dreaded midgee was out in force and both teams were eaten alive early on, Evie in particular, they obviously like their Ozzies.
Kevin made a spectacular effort to try and finish early by jumping of his bike on a corner - his claims that it was a fall were spurious and his disappointment was evident when a replacement appeared.
Innes was the surprise package, pushing Johhny all the way to the line, and not requiring any medical intervention en-route. This was especially impressive given his recent golfing injury - which required vinegar to cure......ask him.
Team Rob - Kevin Kennedy, Zoe Polglase, Andy Bacon & Evie Gabriel
Team Roy - Innes Ledingham, David Caskie, Johnny Beamish & Calum Young
