In a mad moment I decided to take part in an organised ride, covering 900km on horseback over three weeks.
The trip starts in March 2011 at Puerto Montt on the Pacific coast of Chile, riding East, crossing the Andes and the vast deserts of Argentina, before ending on the Atlantic coast of Puerto Madryn. We will be covering an average of 40 to 50km per day and most days will involve 8 to 12 hours of riding.
