Fibromyalgia is a common and chronic disorder characterised by widespread pain, diffuse tenderness, and a number of other symptoms.

My Dad has been suffering with this condition for the past 10 years and it needs to be better understood so that families can cope better with the condition. Treatment for fibromyalgia is not what you would call modern and more research needs to go into how the painful symptoms can be treated more affectively.

I have never run this distance in my life and I have never had any interest in doing so before. It's a personal challenge as well as a chance to raise money for a worthwhile cause.
