Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

On 14th June I started a 934-mile bike ride, from Lands End to John O'Groats, with three friends Mike, Steve and Chris, which eventually took us 12 days to complete. You can also read our website to track our progress each day.
In the process I was raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), in memory of Mike's fiancée and my friend, Jane Starr, who died suddenly on 17th May 2006, aged just 33.

Every week in the UK eight apparently fit and healthy young people like Jane die from undiagnosed heart conditions, and CRY are committed to reducing these losses in future.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cardiac Risk in the Young gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

It is not too late to donate generously!!!
