Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm cycling from the most Southerly point of Scotland (Mull of Galloway lighthouse) to the most Northerly (Dunnet Head lighthouse) isetting off on the 24th August 2009.
It's approximately 500 miles and I"ll be carrying all own my equipment including tent, as I intend to camp every night. I've got my own blog www.adriancooper.net/charitycycle where I'll provide training updates, maps and blogs when I'm actually doing the cycle so you can track my progress. The site is a work in progress at the moment! But there will be regular updates so please keep checking.
I'm doing this cycle in memory of my mother, Margaret, who died from lung and breast cancer. I'm raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care whoy provide care for terminally ill patients at home and support to their families. Their services are free and the charity is highly dependant on fundraising to fund their work. In 2007-08 they cared for around 27,000 patients and needed to raise more than £115 million.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you
Ade
