Story
When my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in May, I considered having this done then so that she wasn't alone in losing her hair. But I decided this could come across as insensitive by reminding her that she'd got no hair. So I have decided to do it in February 2015, when her hair will have started to grow back and mine will be cut to whatever length hers is at the time.
It's been a hard 8 months with chemotherapy and radiotherapy but she's finally finished. I have also lost two good friends this year to the illness and I want to raise some of the money in memory of them too.
Money is going to MacMillan for the great support they give to the person who is ill and their family.
