I am taking part in a 322 mile London to Paris cycle ride over 3 days from 24th June.  So I'll be cycling more than 100 miles per day, and since the event will take place on rolling closed roads I'll need to average above 16mph.  That may not sound like much but it will be: getting back on the bike on days 2 and 3 for another 6 or 7 hours in the saddle will not be a pleasant experience!

I'm raising money for the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust. 

The Trust provides a life saving helicopter air ambulance service 7 days a week, 365 year a year in the Thames Valley area and beyond. Anyone driving in the South East of England is likely to have driven through an area it supports: almost 50% of the helicopter missions are road traffic accidents. On average it costs £165,000 per month to keep the service in operation, yet it receives no funding from Central Government or the National Lottery.  So please donate anything you can.
