Story
Rebecca McCheyne and Adrian (Brindle) Brezinskis will be running the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 16th March 2008 in support of the Broughton Foundation Education Building.
This is a joint project between Broughton Primary School and Broughton Pre-school. The objective is to build a new building in the grounds of the school with two classrooms for the pre-school and reception year children. The project is forward looking and will aim to develop both extended school facilities and be available for community use. The project is conisdering how 'life long learning' opportunities could also be incorporated in the future.
Both Rebecca and Adrian have children that have either attended or still attend pre-school and the primary school. This is their attempt to raise some money for the project through running a gruelling 13.1 miles around Bath. So if you would like to make a donation; we will not force you to run. Seems like a fair swap to us!!!!
This small and sucessful school needs the new building as the pre-school are presently in the schools main hall which is far from ideal. Also the seven school years are taught in three classrooms. This means that at least one class has three school years being taught simultaneously. This new building would provide better facilities for pre-school, help children make the move from pre-school to reception year and ensure better class sizes for the primary school children.
We hope you feel that you can also support this forward looking project.
