was born in on 8th January 1947.

After completing his studies to become a pharmacist, he went to work in a mission hospital in Dabou in the for 3 years. This is where he met  and on 5th June 1976 they were married. David came along in 1981 and Jon was born in 1983.

Most of ’s working life was spent working for the NHS in London Chelmsford, and Romford. In 1999 he went to work for St Francis Hospice Havering-atte-Bower as the director of corporate services.

We have many great memories together as a family including our summer holidays that usually involved a trailer tent, a part of  and walks in the countryside that usually meant walking twice as long as we should have because we got lost! 

In 2006 was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia. He spent the last few weeks of his life at St Francis hospice where he received all the care he needed to make him comfortable in his final days
