ShelterBox - Dartmoor Challenge · 11 September 2010 to 12 September 2010 ·

ShelterBox work to ensure that vulnerable families around the world have life-saving emergency shelter, and other essential tools and aid items, after disaster strikes. Be it an earthquake, flood, conflict or hurricane, we are there for those most in need.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We're aiming to raise £1,000 or more for ShelterBox by taking part in the Dartmoor Challenge

The Charity:
ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide. They respond instantly to natural and man made disasters by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need. Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and essential equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless.

The Event:
The Dartmoor Challenge is a team based endurance event on Dartmoor in mid September. We'll be timed to  navigate a 30 mile course over two days, carrying a ShelterBox and all the kit we'll need to survive a night out on the moors. It'll be a big change from our desk based design jobs, so please dig deep and donate now !

Donating:
Giving money through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
