Hello and Welcome,
I'm running my first road Marathon at Edinburgh on 31st May 2009. My target time is 3hr 15min, and I want to raise in excess of £1250. I have a full programme of training and races to build to the Marathon itself - no Guinness, cheese or chocolate for a few months as well as all those miles! Now I need your support.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
What are you waiting for - get your card out now and a huge thanks for your generous support.
Training Update (1st May):
After a good half marathon on Easter Sunday (90m46s, a personal best) I have been hampered by a naughty little virus. I have dropped my speed & hill work, sticking to slower longer runs and off road cycling.
Virus now gone, so its head down for weeks of hard work then tapering down to the marathon. I'm still confident of hitting my time target (subject to reasonable weather & no injuries). A few kgs still to shed to get below 88kg on race day - at 23,000 strides app every gram of excess takes a toll!
