Story
Hello to you and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On the 25th April 2010 I am taking part in the London Marathon on behalf of the Meningitis Research Foundation. I am running in memory of a family friend, Daniel Penfold, who lost his life suddenly to Meningitis in the summer of 2005, aged just 16.
Some people will argue that running a marathon is one of the hardest things you can put yourself through, physically at least. Having seen what Daniel’s family and friends went through after his passing puts everything into perspective.
I am extremely motivated to raise as much money as I possibly can and I hope that whatever amount I reach can at least help prevent what happened to Daniel, happening to another family.
Those who know me know that I’m not exactly made for marathon running so please dig deep and donate as much as you can. Any amount will help the Meningitis Research Foundation continue their invaluable work.
I am aiming to raise £ 4,000 and I won’t stand a chance without your help.
Please give what you can and thank you so much for your support.
Alan
