YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!
I guess I came to do this Charity run for several reasons. Firstly, the teachers at my kids' nursery are entering this run to raise money for the charity React. One of the runners had to pull out and it left their team short. So I heroically offered to fill the void. I now find myself eager to raise lots of money, post a respectable time for the 10K and beat all the other mothers and fathers from Kew montessori doing it :)Secondly, my birthday falls upon the 11th of July, the same day as the race, and I felt it would be a nice change from the norm to get up early and do something for other peoples' benefit.Thirdly, I have spent the last 10 years sponsoring people for various events and feel it's time for some payback. I reckon the minimum should be a single hours wage.
