Sustrans works on practical projects to encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport in order to reduce motor traffic and its adverse effects. Sustrans' flagship project is the National Cycle Network, creating over 12,000 miles of routes throughout the UK. Sustrans' work relies on the generous donations and regular gifts of 40,000 Supporters, and the support of charitable trusts, companies, the National Lottery and local authority programmes.

My story

Alex Lowe and Richard Evans are cycling from Aberystwth to Cardiff via Sustrans cycleways only. They are camping one night in the Builth Wells area and are travelling unsupported, carrying all equipment with them.

Alex chose to support Sustrans as he is a promoter of sustainable transport and values highly the work that Sustrans does for cycle accessibility.
