I am running in memory of my father who died of Motor Neurone Disease. Within a year of first presenting, he died just after his sixtieth birthday. His courage and dignity was inspirational whilst his body succumbed to the ravages of MND. Once he received a diagnosis, the MND association sent information to him. Through out his illness, they provided practical support and advice which was invaluable at this difficult time.
The fantastic support of his friends was overwhelming. This continues to be a great comfort to our family and in particular my mother.
