Story
*Update 26/04/07 - Well, despite the excessive heat and my general lack of fitness, I managed to finish the marathon! It took me 4 hours, 34 minutes in the end, which I am philosophical about. Next time I definately want to finish under 4 hours. I want to thank each and every one of you who sponsored me, I'm glad you had faith! And to all those who wanted to wait until I had completed the marathon before sponsoring (you know who you are!) It's time to cough up!
Thanks again to everyone, you are all brill!*
*Update 27/03/07 - less than 4 weeks to go! I finished the half marathon in 1:46:45, which was not bad considering the high wind, snow, sleet and hail. I didn't know that Silverstone had its own microclimate! I also beat Mansell Please keep giving as I want to raise as much as possible. Thanks!*
*Update 03/03/07 - thanks very much for all donations so far. I am running the Flora Half-marathon at Silverstone on March 18th. Nigel Mansell will apparently be starting the race - this is the best chance I have of beating him round the track! Please keep sponsoring me so I can make my total!*
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. I need to raise a minimum of £1300 for Chickenshed to run the marathon and as I have no friends every donation counts!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Chickenshed will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
