Thank you so much for sponsoring me for doing the London Bridgathon last weekend on September 21st when I walked over six of London's Bridges.
The walk wasn't exactly John O'Groats-Landsend, I do agree, but all your money, as you know, has gone towards a really, reallly worthy cause, namely The National Hospital Development Foundation's five year BrainSuite Appeal - for which £1million is needed in total - Thank you SO much.
The advanced and interventional MRI scanner that your money has gone towards, will have state-of-the-art navigational and surgical equipment and will help a wide range of neurological conditions and procedures. These will include all types of Tumour Surgery to specific Epilepsy Surgery, and will thereby help initial patient diagnosis, surgery, quality of life and overall prognosis - at the same time add to the technical advances at this central unit that's recognised nationally and internationally.
This Just Giving page will stay open until Mid-December if by chance, you, or indeed anyone else you know, might like to possibly give a bit more or indeed make an initial donation.
Finally, while walking London's bridges, I had so much appreciation for all your support and also many inevitable thoughts on the radical and medically-progressive journey that my brain went through between 1989 - 2002. Thank you all so much again for being there and helping me through the difficult days all those years back, for sharing many happy parties since, and also for continuing to support the neurological charity-work that I am involved with.
Thank you ALL once again for any money (!) and all your VERY kind support.
Alex
