We decided to raise money for the National Autistic Society as Allan used to work with autistic children on a voluntary basis, and we feel he would have wanted any monies raised to go to this charity.

For those of you who dont know who we are, we met Allan at Univeristy way back in September 1991 and have been close friends ever since. We'd been away together on drinking holidays, adventures holidays, snow boarding trips and many many more.

As for the event, why do a rally? Well, Allan had talked of participating in similar rallies in the past but we never actually got round to doing it. Its one of of the many things we took for granted when he was around. If Allan was with us today he'd be in the car with us crossing the finishing line in Prague.

In essence we're carrying out an event that Allan would have wanted and giving any sponsorship to the chairty he would have chosen. Even though this in no way will replace Allan, it may aid the chairty in its quest to help others.
