On the 5th October 2008 we will be running in the Great North Run for Macmillan Cancer Support. We have chosen this charity because of the work they do for people living with cancer, not only the patients but also their families, carers and communities. They give emotional support, practical support at home and financial help and advice and also push for better cancer care.

It's this kind of help that they gave to our brother-in-law and friend Jason Daly in his brave fight against lung cancer that made us choose Macmillan. Sadly, Jay passed away in June last year but the help and advice that they gave him and his fiancee Suzie made their fight a little bit easier. Knowing that someone was only a phone call away if they had any questions meant a lot to them.
