Story
I decided at the start of 2008 that I wanted to set myself a real challenge this year. I ended up giving myself a challenge and a half by entering the London Marathon 2008!!
Many of you will know that my Dad suffered from dementia. Witnessing my Dad's illness, and seeing all the care that he needed as the condition progressed, has left me compelled to do something in recognition of the fantastic work done by Alzheimer Scotland. What's more, I know that raising money for this charity (and running a marathon!) would have made him very proud.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I hope you can please dig deep and consider sponsoring me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer Scotland will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me - I would love to reach my fundraising target as it will certainly have made all the hours of training well worthwhile - both for me personally and also for this very worthy charity.
Many thanks for your very kind support.
