Event: Run to the Beat Half Marathon 2010, on 26 September 2010
We raise funds for The National Hospital to improve the lives of neurology patients

Story

Hi All

Firstly, thanks very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to take part in the 'Run To The Beat' Half Marathon on 26th September 2010 in order to raise money for The National Hospital Development Foundation. And so this is a pledge to urge you to help by sponsoring my run, which will be no easy task considering the heatwave we have been struck by recently! I will, however, complete the 13.1 miles no matter what!

The National Hospital Development Foundation (NHDF) is the charity dedicated to raising funds for The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery which, together with the Institute of Neurology, is a worldwide leader in the research and treatment of brain disorders. These include brain and spinal cancer, dementia, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke and head injuries.

I know a number if people who are affected by some of the conditions mentioned above, as I'm sure you all do too. The Development Foundation raises substantial funds for the crucial projects at the Hospital, enabling it to retain its position as the leading centre for neurology and neurosurgery. I would really like to contribute to the NHDF to ensure that research into these conditions continues and progress is made to find cures.

Please dig deep and donate. Thank you

Amar
