Story
Dear friends,
We have entered a team in a Dragon Boat festival this September and are going by the name of Purley Paddlers. Read on to find out what we are all about.
Purley paddlers is a group of friends who have one thing in common: our dear friend Nickos Efthymiou who lost his battle with cancer in July 2007 at the age of 44.
Nickos enjoyed life to the full and was always the life and soul of any social event. By entering a team into this year's Dragon Boat Race at Bewl Water we want to raise money for cancer research to help support others who are living with this illness and their families, whilst honouring Nickos’ memory with this really fun event.
