I proudly took part in the Great North Run this year to raise money for WaterAid.

Last year I ran / limped through the 13.1 miles and not only raised far more money than I ever expected (thanks again) but enjoyed the day so much I decided to do it again...I'm happy to report that Elvis was in the bus shelter at about 11 miles!

I once again roped my coach (Dad) into running and despite your very kind donations I couldn't keep up with him but I wouldn't have run it without him.

I completed the run on the 5th and am now sitting on the sofa (on the 6th) feeling very stiff but helping those that have nothing makes the pain and effort worth it. Thank you for your support.

I think I need a year off next year but if anyone has any ideas for 2010 please let me know....maybe a full marathon...maybe!!
