Story

Helloooooo, and THANK YOU for visiting my page!

I guess this is the part where i explain to you exactly what i need you here for, and to get you to donate to just giving! ALL the money i raise through this goes STRAIGHT to the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust! And why do i want you to donate to this charity...?

As some of you may, or may not know, mine and my entire families life was turned completely upside down when my little sister Christie was diagnosed with a rare type of brain cancer (a brain tumour called glioblastoma)

It is the worst thing that i could ever imgine having to go through! She is my BEST friend, as well as my beautiful amazing little sister!

Unfortunatly a cure still hasnt been found for this kind of cancer! Its been just over a year since she was diagnosed, and the cancer has now spread to many places throughout her brain, and can now only be controlled for so long with chemo! The fight and determination she has put herslef through is remarkable, going through brain surgery, radiotherapy, many rounds of chemotherapy, as well as still getting through the day to day struggles of just being a 19 year old growing up! I look at her everyday and im amazed. She is so special!

My sister is the most inspirational person i have EVER known! she always will be! But as well as seeing my sister go through this, she is NOT the only one fighting brain cancer!! My sister, me and many members of my family have found ourselves hearing, meeting and making good friends with others going through exactly the same fight! i ALWAYS find myself thinking about how wonderful, kind and STRONG all these young people are! and WHY?!? why does this happen to them!! when they have EVERYTHING and more to give to people!

My life will never be the same, I will NEVER be the same! i want to do all i can for this charity and HELP FIND A CURE!!! So im going to be doing a lot of indurance trials...the first one is this climb, along with some great friends!

If they can fight everyday for themselves and family! I'm sure my body can be put through some hard times and tasks too =) If it means i can help raise awereness for this cause!

SO if it means you giving up a night out, a new top, shoes, dvd or that pizza hut you have been craving then please SPARE it and donate!

THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS, MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL <3

 Love Amy x x x

I wanted to add a huge THANK YOU! to my amazing wonderful kind supporting friends! that put together a fundraiser on the 8th May 'Party at the pub' in aid for brain tumour research! Together we raised £760!!

It is the first of many organised events we will be doing to raise the awereness and money for brain tumour research!!! Many of the people involved will also be doing the Ben Nevis climb with me, and are team members on my page! They help me everyday, they stick by me through everything, they help my family, and most importantly will ALWAYS be here for me! i couldn't ask for a better group of friends to support me :-) so thank you!!! x

My wonderful beautiful caring loving funny amazing little sister Christie died on the 15th july 2010! Every step of the way throughout her fight she made sure she NEVER complained, always kept a smile on her face, and kept on making sure everyone she loved around her was happy! It was through her courage and bravery, all of us could go on, and stay strong! And we all still carry that with us EVERY second of every day! I can't put into words how much i miss her, and how much i love her...we all love her!!!! This world is a strange one, and things just will never be right without her with us!

I am more determined than ever to do this climb, and raise MORE than my target! I need to do this, and it will be all for her!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone that has helped me raise such an important amount of money! i couldn't be more thankful!

Myself and my WONDERFUL friends completed the climb! We climed up to the top if the hightest point in the UK (Ben Nevis) in 4 hours!!! All of us were SO proud of ourselves! Not just because of the fact that we had actually made it to the top! but for WHAT we were doing it for! and Who we were doing it for...it was the most perfect day :) The sun was shining, perfectly clear views from the top...We believe a beautiful angel was looking down on us.

I am soooo happy and thankful for reaching OVER our target of £5,000!!! it truly is sooo overwhelming the amount of support that was given to us! My justgiving site will stay open till November! So if you still havent donated, or wish to do so again then you have plenty of time :) xxxxxx

* Brain tumour research receives less than 1% (0.7%) of cancer research spending in the UK.
