UPDATE

Hi all, just a quick note to let you know how I got on running in London.

I finally crossed the finish line in 4hours and 40mins the day was fantastic and every one of you that sponsored me helped me through all 26 of those miles.  I would just like to take the time to thank you and those who helped me in the fundraising of £1.114.79 because it really will make a difference.

Thank you so much for all your help.

Andy

Andrew Meadows; I am a non runner that has chosen to run 26.2 miles for charity.  This is very daunting and the training I am doing so far is painful but I am sure this is nothing compared to what lupus suffers have to put up with.  My pain is temporary but there's can last day after day year after year. I chose to run the London Marathon because my sister has the disease but struggled to get diagnosed because of the lack of awareness and the wide range of symptoms. I hope to raise awareness of lupus and raise money for LUPUS UK. I would like to thank every one that sponsor's me and those that have helped. Thank you.

Lisa Marten; I was diagnosed with Lupus at the beginning of this year, Lupus is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the body's tissues and organs causing inflammation. I want to help raise awareness of the disease as well as raise money for the charity. A lot of people have never heard of Lupus and are not aware of the symptoms so it is hard for them to understand if you have a limp one day why don’t you the next, or if you are extremely tired but have not been out partying all weekend! Lupus is currently incurable and it is important that funds are available to continue research into the disease and hopefully one day find a cure, so please help by sponsoring Andy to run the London Marathon and taking part in our events!

Rachel Willacy; I have only recently learnt about Lupus disease and I wanted to support Andy and friend Lisa to raise money for this charity as it's very close to their hearts.  I will be making cakes, cycling alongside Andy in training and helping to organize the Quiz night & raffle in March and hope to see you there.

All donations are really appreciated.
Please support us in any way you can. Thank You.
