Leg Up for

WHERE am I going? In January I’m doing a sponsored 100k walk along the coast of southern . I’ll be sleeping rough with the poor in fishing villages that were hit by the Tsunami and meeting some of the families who live and work in this deprived region.

WHY am I going? In there is no welfare state, no pension scheme, no National Health, no government hand outs – these people are on there own! They are desperately poor and struggle to find employment to support their families. But they are proud, hard working people who want to get a job, to look after their elderly, to enable their children to go to school. I’d like to help.

WHAT happens to the sponsor money?   ALL the money that I raise will go to FEAST, For Education And Social Transformation (I’m paying for all the travel  and admin. costs myself! ) FEAST is a small grassroots charity that aims to give the people in this area a Leg Up. 99.8% of all  Feast money goes to the people, which is fantastic! Of all the charities I have supported over the years FEAST is without doubt the best with the most integrity and it  really does make a difference to the poorest of the poor.

HOW can you help? If you sponsor me, I’ll make sure that ALL the money goes to help children get an education, to feed the elderly, to build houses, to provide small business opportunities such as sewing machines, tea urns, micro credit and to help in many other ways.

THANK YOU. They don’t want a hand out they just need a Leg Up!
