UPDATED 14th April 2008

Well it's all over now and I am delighted to say that I have completed my first London Marathon.

My finish time of 4hrs 37mins was a little slower than I had hoped for but training runs are no substitute for the real thing when it comes to running in huge crowds with downpours of rain and hail to contend with. Anyway - I now have a personal best to try and beat next year !

I would like to give a massive thank you to everyone who came into London to support me yesterday - standing for hours in the rain to cheer me on - it was a major boost to me at key points on the course. Also, a massive thank you to my wife and children for your support and encouragement during the months of training and yesterday.

Also a huge thank you to everyone who has kindly sponsored me - I will be coming to find you shortly with my sponsorship foms !

The online and offline sponsorship totals combined are now in excess of my charity fundraising target so the people at Sense will be very appreciative of some fairly substantial monies.

Thanks again to all. Until next year !
