About our charity : St Cuthbert's Hospice St Cuthbert's Hospice
St Cuthbert’s Hospice opened its Day Hospice in September 1988, as a day Hospice providing specialist palliative care for those with life threatening illnesses with emphasis on quality of life. St Cuthbert’s has grown to include a wide range of essential care services, staffed by a team of experienced professionals. In September 2006 we opened the new 10 bedded In-Patient Unit, which is able to offer care 24 hours a day. This care includes symptom management, short term planned admission and rehabilitation, and End of Life Care.

Our personal message:

Hi everyone, thought it was about time that I combined something I enjoy doing with a good cause so myself and John Dobson who I work with are aiming to complete the Coast to Coast with a few other friends that we go biking with. The company I work for (Veolia Environmental Services) have kindly donated a vehicle for a few days to carry our tents and spares.

We are heading off from the West coast (Whitehaven) on the 6th June and are camping at various sites on the way to the East coast (Sunderland) on the 8th June, approx 146 mile give or take a few pubs for water refills? If you would like to donate any money for St Cuthbert's Hospice who provide specialist palliative care for those with terminal illnesses then please do so via this page. Any amount would be greatly appreciated to try and hit my target.
