We advise, campaign and care to improve lives of everyone with epilepsy.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

This is the first time I've run a marathon, and a massive part of the reason why I'm doing it is because of the charity I'm running for; Epilepsy Action.

Some basic facts about epilepsy: one in every 131 people in the UK has epilepsy, one in 20 people will at some point have a seizure in their life and for 60% of people there is no known cause as to why they develop epilepsy. The chances are therefore that you will know someone who has been affected by the condition, as is the case in my family.

Epilepsy Action is a registered charity carrying out fantastic work, helping people to live with the condition by giving advice and support through their helpline, providing one-to-one volunteers and raising awareness to improve the understanding of epilepsy. Epilepsy Action relies on the generosity of the public and businesses for around 90 per cent of its income.

My aim is to raise £1,500 as a minimum for Epilepsy Action, and your sponsorship, no matter how much, will help me to hit this target. So, please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Epilepsy Action will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
