My son Evan was diagnosed with Liver cancer in 2010 just after the birth of my daughter Holly. Clic Sargent supported him throughout his initial treatment and then through surgery and chemotherapy. I'm hoping to raise £1500 through this page and also a charity rugby league match in Stoke this March, and any other madness I can think of. £4 could pay for one copy of a
CLIC Sargent storybook that explains childhood cancer in simple, easy to understand language - putting cancer into words and illustrations children can relate to. These are an impo
£8 could pay for a copy of What now? CLIC Sargent’s new booklet to help parents and carers whose child has just been diagnosed with cancer to understand how it may affect them.
£15 could pay for a copy of CLIC Sargent’s DVD to help families where a child or young person has died of cancer to understand and cope with their grief.
£33 could pay for a family to stay overnight in one of CLIC Sargent’s eight Homes from Home, providing free self- catering accommodation near to specialist children’s cancer treatment centres, which are often many miles from a family’s own home. Staying in a Home from Home ensures a family can be close to their child during treatment.

£170 could pay for a CLIC Sargent grant. Cancer can have a huge effect on a family’s finances and a CLIC Sargent grant is offered to children and young people with cancer, and their families, as soon as they come into contact with us to help meet the sudden extra costs that a cancer diagnosis can bring.
£180 could pay for one young person to take part in a residential weekend at Malcolm Sargent House, CLIC Sargent’s holiday
home in Ayrshire, where young people
can meet others with similar experiences, helping them to feel less isolated.
£230 could pay for a family to stay in a CLIC Sargent Home from Home for a week.
£300 could fund a CLIC Sargent Compassionate Grant to help a bereaved family pay for their child’s funeral.
£430 could fund CLIC Sargent’s Information Service for one day, so that we can provide children and young people with cancer,
and their families, with vital information about childhood cancer to help them cope with the impact of cancer on their lives.
£990 could pay for a family to stay for a month in a CLIC Sargent Home from Home.
