Story

On Saturday 17th April I'll be walking 30 miles from Glencoe to Fort William over the steepest final section of the West Highland Way including The Devils Staircase and climbing Ben Nevis.

Total distance - 30 miles
Total ascent - 8200 feet (3800 on West Highland Way plus 4400 feet up Ben Nevis)
Start time - 2am (Yes 2 o'clock in the morning) to maximise daylight on the hill.
Total time - Around 12 to 16 hours.

Who's it for?
50% will be donated to the local charity Hopscotch (http://www.hopscotch-charity.org/) to fund short breaks in the Highlands for disadvantaged kids who wouldn’t normally get a holiday.
50% will be going to the Tartan Army Children's Charity to fund various projects for disadvantaged kids in Scotland (http://www.tartanarmychildrenscharity.org.uk/cms/index.php)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

This challenge is to raise funds for 2 very worthy causes who help disadvantaged children. So please dig deep and donate as every penny counts.   Thanks.
