What going on??
Cycling coast to coast across the had been a goal of mine for sometime. I've done 1000's of miles of cycle touring throughout the (usually routed via the pubs in the Campaign for Real Ales' Good Beer Guide :) and thought it about time I did something different.
Why Sponsor Me?
It is a long way to travel just for the exercise,
so why not raise some £/$ for a good cause –‘Bike to change lives’
The reason I chose Macmillan Cancer Support, was
unfortunately cancer has touched my life personally, like so many others.
My mum was taken before her time and close friends have also had a close
brush with cancer or succumbed to its effects. So my wheels are rolling to
help make a difference!
Nick and I have made a conservative guess as to the length of the ride and we have come up with 5000 miles, which is a conveniently round figure to try and raise for a very worthy cause, that makes a big difference to people affected by this distressing disease.
